I hope that you enjoyed your weekend. My weekend was full of activity and mayhem. I am still recovering from my Mary Kay Andrews House Party, and I cannot wait to share the details with all of you!
My Mamavation friends and I just completed the 2 week challenge. I lost 3lbs and 4 inches. Not bad. This week? We are focusing on how to strengthen the core muscles. One of my favorite trainers helped me learn that crunches just weren’t the answer. There are many other exercises that target, and successfully strengthen the core. I wanted to share 3 of my favorite “results makers” with you. I didn’t say that I liked, or enjoyed these exercises; I just like the results.
1. Bird Dog:
Remember to keep the core engaged as you do this one. You definitely will feel the burn.
2. Planks: front
They’re evil, but they work.
Yes, your butt will thank you for these, but squats work the abs quite well.
These are simple, and do not require the use of equipment, or a trip to the gym. You can increase your reps as your strength and endurance increase. I believe that you may very well love the results that you can get from these exercises as much as I do. Some summer bodies are created on operating tables, but most of them are made from hard work. When we put in the sweat equity, we can enjoy sweet results.
