To do, or not to do?
This mama is busy! My to do list can be bananas at times. There are days when, no matter how hard I try, I simply cannot keep up.
I have taken courses on productivity, switched planners and calendars, used sticky notes, joined accountability groups. You name it, and I have probably given it a whirl. The greatest thing that I decided to do was to put myself first. WHAT?
It is quite easy to become overwhelmed with everything, and forget what is most important.
I must take care of myself first!
It sounds selfish, doesn’t it?
Trust me when I say that it isn’t.
If I am not healthy, or rested, I cannot effectively take care of my family, and business.
So, what items are consistently on my to do list?
Eat well: I would rather pay for great, healthy food than spend money on co-pays and medicine.
Sleep well: Yes, I love my coffee, but without sleep, I do not function well.
Love well: I am intentional about spending time with my family, and making our moments count.
Plan well: I must admit that I struggle with this one, but when I plan out my day, stuff actually gets done.
Have you made any adjustments to your to do lists lately? Do you put yourself first, or place your needs on the back burner? I would like to double dog dare you to put yourself first. Try it, and just maybe you’ll see that things start to fall into place better.
Have a great day!
